What DeVos does not say is that many of these failing schools are failing because of deliberate disinvestment by their communities. And DeVos also does not say that it is the ideology that she shares and heavily supports that leads to the disinvestment that leads to failing schools.

Public school funding has always been tilted against POC by being property-tax linked, which was by design of racists. But even so, the current issues with public schools are directly the result of RW policies of defunding and also aiming to destroy historically Democratic Party-leaning teachers' unions.
And, of course, the deVoids and kochs of this world don't want an educated populace.
