(203,026 posts)Against the Delta variant. I know some people were concerned about the one-shot J&J. Those who are vulnerable to the highly transmissible Delta variant are those who aren't yet vaccinated.

I have gone looking for an actual science article about the serum studies too, which can tell you a lot, but haven't located it yet.
(serum studies are where they measure how well antibodies recognize and attack a particular variant).

(4,999 posts)Looks like they are using serum studies to make these statements, and based on similar results with the mRNA vaccines are assuming it will be the same for J&J. I haven't found the serum study data. I only spent a few minutes looking, so it may well be out there somewhere as a preprint.
