Corporations must be held accountable for preying on families. A collar has been linked to thousands of dog deaths, but the company selling the product 1) refuses to warn Americans, and 2) is blocking the EPA from gathering data. Rep. Katie Porter confronted the CEO directly.

"might hurt sales?" i don't care about their sales. i care about my pets.
this same thing seems to be happening with the baby formula. was regulation so lax in the former administration that these corporate criminals just don't care?

And I'm sure that pets and babies were not priorities in TFG's agenda, he wasn't even proactive in fighting Covid which was killing thousands...

I remember a TON of publicity about that. I guess it's different when the problem can be blamed on another country!

(101,730 posts)both a responsible and innovative company that listened to veterinary and owner concerns. It is also the second-largest animal drug company. This really disappoints me that they are refusing to cooperate with an investigation. Unfortunately, since such flea collars are over-the-counter, not veterinary-prescribed, veterinarians have little oversight for this product. But if Elanco wants to sell all their myriad of veterinary-prescribed medications, then they can not afford to continue this stance.

As a pet parent, I sure want to know about the safety of any product, and I'm sure veterinarians would also like to know.
