Republican Senator Ted Cruz, during a recent town hall event for the Texas Tribune, said that violence is the only thing that can stop violence while talking about the epidemic of gun violence in America. Cruz didn't even flinch when a heckler called him out for this, and repeated the standard "good guy with a gun" talking points that Republicans have embraced for quite some time.
