Meet Oliver and Sophia. They are 6 months old brother and sister of Himalayan breed . These are pictures from the rescue because I havent taken any pictures yet. Theyve been here only 1 day and both are getting acclimated to their new home.
Max is beside himself with all of this tonight.
Sophia is a pistol! Shes not taking any shit off Max. She called his bluff right away and got right in his face. He bolted across the house. She has chased him through the house a couple times now. Hes all bark and a chickenshit. Oliver has not come out of the kennel yet, although it is wide open. Hes going to let Sophia teach Max some manners before he ventures out.
Both cats still have their claws. (Are you listening Max??)

Kudos to you, though I do have sympathy for poor Max. I hope that they learn to become friends, and that he doesn't get hurt in the process. Oliver bears a strong resemblance to my friend's beautiful cat. He's a Ragdoll who she happened on at a cat adoption clinic and she just couldn't resist because he became homeless when his doting owner was deployed to Iraq. How wonderful that you adopted them together and they were so fortunate to have found you...
On edit: Here's the beautiful cat I was speaking about:
Lil Missy
(17,865 posts)He just needed to learn he cannot bully them. Looks like he met his match and they are settling down now. Sophia is a cuddler and Max likes "new friends".
Oliver has come out of the kennel, but is still hiding, LOL! I know where he is - he just thinks Max is "too friendly".
I think this is going to work out.

(203,024 posts)I was hoping that poor Max would be okay. It's his home and he can't help but be curious about the "invaders..."
My Jack's the same way, tries to be buddies with my housemate's two cats, but they've been together from birth and have resisted his efforts to be part of his "pack." He's known them since they were kittens, though, so they just grew up accepting him, even they know he's "different."
I'm so happy that it's working out! Since they're kittens, there's a good chance that they'll grow up being friends with Max, too...
