and I worked in the lab before I became a nurse. Safe? Of course they are safe. What will he be doing?

Is it about handling infectious diseases? Or is that just a small part of the industry?

It will depend on the job. It is a large thing, a lab, and there are many kinds. The kind I am familiar with are the hospital labs. There are procedures for everything. As long as he follows them he will be fine. It is a long standing practice, everything is covered. There are thousands of lab techs and others who do this every day.

EDIT because I am tired and can't quite seem to put things together including my fingers at the moment
