their names several times or repeat trolls that MIRT bans every day the registered user number is not even close to being accurate.

I believe the Kerry forum was that way back in 2004. It would also list the number of visitors which was made up of members not logged in or people who weren't members.

I'm on other BBS boards that have a frequently updated list showing who is on right now (by member name). You can also click on a name and find out when was the last time they were on the board, or amount of time spent on there, etc. I believe it's available as an opt-out so that members can participate anonymously if they prefer to do that.
