I always tell people to go part-time vegetarian. Just pick one or two days of the week to go veggie. Try even having a seafood day. Arnold Schwarzenegger was the guy who recommended this.

Btw, when I was a child on the farm and objected to my "pet" cows being slaughtered, my mother would tell me, "that's what God put them here for"!! I thought "then 'god' was a mean person." She later knew I grew up to be an atheist.
