Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI finally got certified in First Aid/CPR/AED for both adults and pediatrics yesterday.
I had been meaning to learn for long time now. I just decided to finally do it. It was interesting and I learned a lot. Now I feel a little more useful if an emergency ever happens.
I highly recommend taking a class if you are interested.

(12,264 posts)I went back to take the course again and refresh. Some of those kids were saved by people in the area and fellow high school students who knew CPR. It was a reminder of what one person can do if they know how. Good for you!

(9,594 posts)I've been meaning to do that for a long time. I live in an over 55 community and it certainly can come in handy.

(9,594 posts)So I've always relied on her in emergencies. But she's getting older and I think I need to learn to rely on myself.
And I live in fire, earthquake and mudslide country, so having those kind of skills is actually pretty important.
Thank you again for the very important reminder!

(16,330 posts)I have to keep current for my job at the preschool and the last one included a variety of first aid situations. Im pretty calm under pressure but I often wonder if I could remember all the instructions in case of an emergency.
