I finally got certified in First Aid/CPR/AED for both adults and pediatrics yesterday.

I had been meaning to learn for long time now. I just decided to finally do it. It was interesting and I learned a lot. Now I feel a little more useful if an emergency ever happens.

I highly recommend taking a class if you are interested.

I went back to take the course again and refresh. Some of those kids were saved by people in the area and fellow high school students who knew CPR. It was a reminder of what one person can do if they know how. Good for you!

I've been meaning to do that for a long time. I live in an over 55 community and it certainly can come in handy.

They are going to sign up for a class now. My mother is in her seventies and my brother has a young child.

So I've always relied on her in emergencies. But she's getting older and I think I need to learn to rely on myself.

And I live in fire, earthquake and mudslide country, so having those kind of skills is actually pretty important.

Thank you again for the very important reminder!

I have to keep current for my job at the preschool and the last one included a variety of first aid situations. I’m pretty calm under pressure but I often wonder if I could remember all the instructions in case of an emergency.
