Around here we'd call that an anhinga or snake bird because of the way they swim with their head and neck above water and body hidden below.

Anhingas are fresh water relatives of cormorants but the major difference is that anhingas' bills are straight, like the bird in the video, while cormorants' bills have a hook on the tip.

They are related to American Anhingas. Cool!
