Gotta hide the green. Funny though...didn’t see it.

Mid-Michigan in West Branch it’s affiliated with U of M. Everyone here is blue not only in uni favorites. Safe place to be with my no filter mouth!

Thanks for your thoughts.

My hip replacement was the best thing I've done for myself in 50 years. Enjoy, my friend.

And you'll be back on the court next summer if not sooner.

In placed into the upper part of the bone after the old ball is removed. On the other side the round part is my new ball which fits into the new cup for it to rotate in.

I’m on my side when that pic was taken top of hip ball side.

but they keep telling me to wait until it is unbearable. Well, it is in the evenings and at night when it burns like fire unless I prop it up on a table. Sleeping is hard and working the farm is not helping anymore. Injections are no longer effective so.....I just have to say when I guess.

Good luck to you, your story is what I hear most often about hips. Did they do the surgery from the front?

Covid put me behind...I was postponed for about 2 months. It got real bad. Hip froze up into the socket once about 2 weeks ago, I’m was bone on bone, no cartilage. When that bugger moved...I never felt anything that bad...and I got shot in the army. The doctor put me on the pre-op drug mix to get me by.
For sleeping try melatonin i got up to 30 mgs some nights...with plenty of medicinal cannabis.

It’s not in the back, posterior, but more on my side almost in the middle, don’t know what they call that position. I’ll ask my doctor.

This is my third major surgery. Quad bypass, aortic aneurism stent, now this. When it was first scheduled I had no qualms. The delay truthfully caused a little apprehension.

Muse I’m sitting in my hospital bed right now...ok I’m on a mild pain pill...but I know where and how I hurt...it’s gone! That freaking hot ass poker in my ass has been taken out! The little cut?
I’m not stupid I know for a few days I’ll be real sore. But I can tell now it’ll be different.

You farm...I used to... now just a 20x60 garden. I’ll bet you’ve injured yourself worse than the cut I got on my hip.

Do it as soon as you can...block out some time and just do it! Please.

They kept telling me that being a woman in my 60's I could just get by with a cane! Well now, I am not sitting at home eating bon bons! Good grief. I found another doctor and he is great. He just wants to be certain that I am ready and once I make that final call we will schedule. I need to figure out my schedule if we have symphony this fall and when I can actually miss some time. I expect I will try next year probably but the sooner the better. Thanks so much. I have been bone on bone a lot of the time, the socket is worn and when it pops into that bad place it makes me want to cry. I am done with that. I still feel like a younger person than I am and I will be darned if I let this pain go on until that is not even possible. Thanks!

Awake and online 3 hours later!!!

Supertrooper!!!

I had meniscus surgery in Oct 2013, I finally got online 3 days later. (I didn't have a smartphone or tablet or even a laptop) Even then, when I got to my computer, I stood up most of the time. Meniscus stuff is pretty minor stuff....surgeon said, "Do these exercises, you don't even need PT".

Best of luck with your recovery!!!!

They waited til the spinal wore off and walked with me. No pampering anymore with anyone.
They got me up and walking after my bypass the next morning. The morphine probably helped though.
