My old calico Zoey loved drawers, but luckily mine are antique and stick. However, if one was left open even a crack, she'd pry at it and pry at it and eventually she'd get it enough of a slit to slip through. She was tiny and didn't require much room t all. We had a box all fixed up for her to give birth in, the day she was delivering, she decided she wanted to use the bottom shelf of my armoire. I kept moving her and putting her in her box, but when I heard her meowing loud, giving birth, she was back in the armoire again, and that's where the kittens were born. A number of my socks didn't make it past the event, but we got 3 lovely healthy kittens, so it was worth it.
