3. No one tops Jimi. Period.

Although one artist has given him a good run for the money, and you wouldn't BELIEVE who it is--Melanie (Safka), the chick who did the roller-skate song and the nickel song in the early 70s. I heard her version on satellite radio one day in the car, and my jaw DROPPED! Unfortunately, I cannot find that version ANYWHERE online--and boy, I have SEARCHED high and low for it! I want to hear it again. and again. and again.......

4. Whenever I hear this (by Hendrix)

I always think of Ron Reagan. It was his Air America show theme.

5. Wait that's not Lucifer!

Lucifer is blond and looks like David Bowie.

6. Jimi did it best...

But Eddie Vedder, U2, Dave Matthews, and Bob Dylan also did it better then this other one. And that's just off the top of my head.

8. Yeah, I thought about a three way poll between...

Jimi Hendrix, Tom Ellis and Bob Dylan. But thought it would end up being a big fight.

9. Bear McCreary's

use of the song in Battlestar Galactica was pretty cool.

But obviously Hendrix.
