Me and my trees. Sometimes it's good to expect the worst...

Previous thread about the tree situation:

I warned my people to expect a possible internet outage when the tree service arrived.

I VOTED at 9:00 am in person with no wait and no issues just before I got the call that the leaning tree had been pushed out of my big tree and fell toward my house.

The tree service people are backed up and stressed I'm sure but they did NOT use a crane to remove the leaning tree, they just pushed it over. This broke the huge limb that was holding it up and took all the wires with it and ripped our electrical from our house and damaged the siding.

On the bright side, no one was hurt. Except my great big tree which now has two broken arms and a huge gash. Arborist said it's too dangerous to leave her. Plus, she looks very sad now.

The tree service company paid for the electricians to come out and fix the electrical and they will take the big tree down for free (easily $3000 saved) and they apologized a thousand times (but I still hate them lol).

We got power back at 8:00 pm. And the internet was fine once power was back on.

AND DU survived the night!
