Gawd, I hate people that dump animals!! The animals don't understand what has happened to them, or why. And they are good hearted enough to wonder if the owner is going to come back for them. If I didn't already have 3 Pyr's, I'd go get him.
Can anyone help? Even if its just to foster him for awhile?

(33,643 posts)You should go to jail for that. For no less than 1 year. Period.
Hope someone helps the poor pupper.
Let me say that your attempts to home this good boy are commendable. As a cat rescuer I can tell you that you must be prepared to foster this waif until you find it a home or decide to give it a forever home yourself. Even if it means just putting food out for the animal, you need to nurture it all you can.
Believe me, you will never forgive yourself if the shelter takes him or you see him dead in the road. I know this from bitter experience. Some of my cats are feral, they never come inside.. Much to my neighbour's dismay, I keep food out for all comers. At least they have a full belly if the worst happens.
I know you care deeply or you wouldn't have posted this. Feed his belly and feed your heart and hope for the best. It doesn't always have a great outcome, but when it does it makes all the heartache worth it.
I give you my admiration!
I just realized you reposted this...oh well. It applies to all animal lovers!

(69,803 posts)but proclaiming the imminent death of an animal that isnt even in custody yet isnt helpful.
it wont rally ppl. it will just make them feel hopeless.
