I am not going into her circumstances but other than to say we swim in rather opposite ends of the privilege pool. She is really fucking cool. A lot of our pre covid mentoring time was spent cracking up as she gives me a lesson in the common vernacular of our young people and I then interpret into old lady grammatically correct English. Oh My Days! is frequently expressed - I think she looks at me as a rather interesting fossil in many ways. However, within our jocular times we also set a plan, we worked together to support her to achieve her plan and it is a marvellous plan that is not my story to tell.
Anyway - I will get to the point of this ramble. About 9 am this morning the door knocks and there was a box with Prosecco in it. And a label that said - Get Lit (she means get drunk *cough* and I will *waves to the lovely xxxx if she clicks in the link I am going to send her), name of my friend and xxxx
This afternoon - a bouquet of roses
She has decided she will be my valentine until a crusty old boy of my own is found...
How lovely. How heart warming. How fucking special.
Oh My Days!!! I love her. I love intergenerational relationships. They strengthen all of us, and this year my friend is my valentine.
Copying the chick in question into this link .
Also to my friend - check out this site. Proper progressives that don't put up with balderdash (J you like how I did that?? LOL. You know you do!!!, even though if I suggested you don't put up with smack instead you would hide your head under your pillow and weep at my old lady vernacular anyway! )

(2,440 posts)Mature people get talked into doing questionable things in order to fit in or impress some youthful counterpart. Well great, I've got my buzzkill over with early today I get my first dose of vaccine today

(2,440 posts)We actually have a little weather today, nothing like people with real weather have or anything. But my car did break down and I have to drive my 24 foot RV to the vaccination site which seems to be in a cul-de-sac, should be a bit of
an adventure
