I got my first Pfizer shot on Tuesday, February 23. I hardly had a sore arm and no symptoms whatsoever until Friday. I couldn't stay awake. Then, when I woke on Saturday, I just felt "off." Nothing I could really put my finger on, just sort of brain foggy and just not myself. It lasted until this morning. I finally feel normal. I don't know if it was the vaccine or not. If it was the vaccine, I don't care because Covid would be so much worse.
I was just curious. Congrats to everyone who's been lucky enough to get the vaccine and I do hope those who are unable to get it will be able to soon. Have a good weekend!

(115,280 posts)The day after, my arm ached and I felt tired and a little off - not sick, just lethargic, with a slight sensation of fever, though I never checked it. I was fine by that evening, no symptoms since.

(29,166 posts)but I had covid... and I couldn't stay awake... even 5 weeks after developing the headaches and the little fever, slight cough... blood O2 of 90. about the only thing I didn't get was the loss of taste.
I felt "off" and a little bit of vertigo for like 3 months, plus I had this very strange runny nose for 3 months... not congested, just runny... to the point I was putting boxes of kleenex everywhere.

(12,904 posts)I couldnt sleep for 4 days. I binged old movies on TCM. I could eat for 9 days. I only had foggy brain for a couple days at the end, about day 10.
I had horrible fatigue for at least 6 weeks after. Still gaining back all the weight I lost. Fatigue much better after developing an exercise routine.

(34,174 posts)I've always had sinus issues, but my nose ran like a leaky faucet. I chalked it up to the extremely cold weather but maybe not. I'm glad you're feeling better now. My late fiance's 21-year-old niece, formerly very healthy, is a long hauler. She still has lung issues after almost a year. She became sick the third week of March 2020. Until then, she would run 3-5 miles a day; now she can't do anywhere near that and gets winded after going up a couple of flights of stairs.

(130,156 posts)and had Moderna jab TODAY! Nose OK today, even arm soreness down, but there's lots of time to go, and then there's the 2d jab.

(5,767 posts)Slept a lot during the first couple of days after Pfizer #1. After that I was tired, went to sleep early, and felt somewhat off.
Got the second shot this past Sunday but it didn't affect me as much. A little tired, a little dizzy and a little spaced out.

(62,346 posts)Got my shot last Friday night.
Saturday through Tuesday whenever I would sit for a short spell I would fall asleep. Fell asleep at my computer Saturday and dropped my wireless mouse and had to get a new one.
Slept through most of Saturday's basketball games. My wife pretty much slept all day Saturday.
I slept on and off Sunday and Monday - just fell asleep real easily. Was actually scared to drive.
Then, oddly I gave blood Tuesday and I usually fall asleep doing that, but I didn't. Slept well on Tuesday and seemed to snap out of it Wednesday

(24,104 posts)No side effects from the first except very slight pain at the injection if I pressed on it. Not even that on this shot. Never even felt the needle. Nurse was very good. Keeping my fingers crossed I don't start feeling crappy later.
