I'm not looking for medical advice, I just would like to know

if anyone has had the experience of their Gabapentin stopping working.

1. I have taken Gabapentin for about 10 years

and it still works great.

2. No, still works here. But you may need to ask your doc...

...if an increase in dosage may help. I'd ask.

3. There's no side effect of tolerance with gabapentin.

If your current dose no longer works, it means your neuropathy has progressed beyond the ability of your current dose to treat.

6. Oh, there's tolerance all right.

I once ran out of Gabapentin on a weekend. The withdrawal wasn't pretty.

8. Tolerance and dependence are two different things.

They are related, but different.

7. I had to look up gabapentin and I've never used it. However, in using anti-psychotics to

control mental illness I regularly had those meds fail and had to choose a new one. Talk
to your Doc and do what's best for yourself.

9. Your dosage may need to be adjusted.

Last week my doctor prescribed a stronger prescription.
