(7,911 posts)I sent home leftovers with everybody in all my old Tupperware and told them to keep the containers. Then I threw out all the spare lids and replaced the whole collection with glass and ceramic with either glass lids or screw-on lids where appropriate. No more random collections of containers and lids that don't match. I especially like the wide-mouth 1-pt Mason jars with matching plastic screw-on lids for single-serving leftovers.

(9,631 posts)Unmatchable plastic containers/lids is somewhat of an issue in our place. Plus, washing glass is much more pleasant than oily plastic that never seems to quite come clean.

Same with casseroles and stews. It suits my lifestyle just fine.
