Is there a firewall/anti-virus software that works best with Windows 10

if you plan on installing Zoom?

That's the primary need.

The second need is a firewall that will allow security cameras to run without degrading protection.

Thanks for any help!

Yes, the firewall is Turn The Computer Off! Cheap, effective, and it works! SWBTATTReg Apr 2021 #2

Windows 10's built-in Defender is pretty good. And free. Goodheart Apr 2021 #4

I kid you of course, I couldn't resist the joke. Good luck in your search, for a adequate firewall...I suspect that this would be a feature that they would brag about (the firewalls for Zoom, etc.).

Techies love their little turf battles, and virus scanners have their proponents.

I use a variant of mcaffee provided free from my isp. It runs well on windows 10. I would stay away from any sw written in countries with known security risks (like karsparki).

As for firewalls, I run a hw firewall between my home network and my isp. My security cameras are all local; I don't like relying on anything cloud based (not secure, not private). But any fw can be configured to let specific apps through or configured for port forwarding (careful with that).

Just remember what ubiquiti did to it's customers recently. I would avoid them at ALL costs.
