I found it at Walmart after work it was impulse buy I text my wife pics and she said grab it. Over coffee later she explained that the six quarts are hard to find. So my wife and our sons are looking at recipes on our phones. Heading to the butcher in bit to buy either chicken or pork so any ideas or suggestions from your experience is appreciated thank you in advance.
I know one thing will be air frying chicken livers only the dogs and I appreciate them.

(25,816 posts)I know wings have their own oil, but potatos, tempura and more?
I'm seriously thinking about getting one, what do you recommend?

(22,441 posts)I cut them up small and put a bunch of spices on them and they taste great.
I even made turnip french fries once. They were great too. I get the recipes from the net.

(26,231 posts)I have an Emeril four quart. I tracked it for a couple of weeks on the Costco website and bought it when it was fifty percent off. From what Ive read, they all seem to be alike. Prior to buying the one I have I had a toaster oven that was supposedly also an air fryer. It was impossible to control the temperature so I returned it.

(5,191 posts)was Chicken wings! Great!!! I use it for chicken thighs and love it for pork tenderloin too. No need to buy cook books for it. Just Google what you're cooking and mention its for an air fryer. You'll get hundreds of recipes.

Ferrets are Cool
(21,063 posts)My favorite thing to cook in mine is pizza. 6 mins at 400.
I usually cook the bottom up first at 2 mins just to get a crispy crust.
My next favorite is french fries and tater tots.
There is almost nothing you can't do in an air fryer and an instapot.

(38,601 posts)We prefer chicken livers done in the oven with lots of butter (boy I want some now). Any frozen junk (poppers, etc.). Leftover pizza. Anything that needs crisping (leftover breaded things). Rack of lamb. Its versatile.

(38,264 posts)Our regular kitchen oven has a convection setting but I end up using the air fryer for anything that fits because I hate cleaning the oven, especially the "self-cleaning" function which stinks up our entire house even if I have the kitchen exhaust fan on high.
Some stuff that is ordinarily fried doesn't do well, but a lot does, and I've successfully used it for lots of things, like meatloaf, crab cakes, potato pancakes (from leftover mashed potatoes), hash browns, cauliflower, pot stickers, ribs--the list goes on.
I'm glad it's part of my oven so I don't need to buy a separate appliance to air fry.

(50,453 posts)It worked, but because I was stupid and put the fries on a cookie sheet they came out crispy on one side and soggy on the other. I got a broiler pan with the range so I think I'll try that next. The official Bertazzoni broiler pan uses a wire grate to hold the food, so it should work fine.

(137 posts)My husband and I use ours literally everyday, no joke. Last night we used it to make garlic bread as it toasts both sides of bread, no flipping required. We have a six quart we were given as a gift little over a year ago and recently snagged a Vortex 10 quart on sale at Penneys. We cook all kinds of stuff in both air fryers--meats of course, shrimp, asparagus, zucchini spears, flour tortilla chips from store bought tortillas, even brownies! One of our favorites is chicken prepared with a really nice jerk chicken seasoning.
It's also fantastic for reheating and crisping up fries from our favorite burger joint, no more soggy fries!
Just Google air fryer time and temp for whatever you want to cook, there are tons of recipes are out there. I keep a couple of index cards on the fridge for a quick reference as time and temp for the stuff we cook most often.

(50,453 posts)I had a 2-quart one that worked fine until I dropped the fucking thing on my diamond-hard floor. (Pro tip: don't drop anything on a porcelain tile floor. The floor will be fine. The dropped object will not be.) My new one is a 6-quart, and it is much nicer.

(16,330 posts)you don't need to press the tofu as much ahead of time and it stays crispy in whatever you use it in
Also, we do a lot of baked potatoes and seasoned diced potatoes

(20,882 posts)Seeing your post reminded me of him. The dog was so spoiled it wouldnt eat regular dog food.
That said my husband brought himself an air fryer and he made a pork roast with a homemade rub and it was delicious and it only took a short time.
