Nerdy question of the night

Let’s say you’re a notch baby and you’re over 60 but not quite 65. And you’re selected for jury duty. It’s 2 weeks away. And you’ll be on call for 2 weeks. Though you suspect it will be handled through zoom, this is Florida. Don’t take bets.

So question. In the far chance that you might get selected, would you try to get a Pfizer booster?

without giving a reason and after that with a doctor's statement. But it's probably not
a bad idea to get the booster too.

The one place where I wouldn’t work is if it involved a rich private individual (Maybe land developer) suing a city or state government. Because I would know, that In Florida if there was wrong-doing with the city attorneys, they’ll settle quickly to bury their mistakes. See, I’m biased.

the charts as you wait. Ask for the birth date of the defendant...

Or dress head to toe in biker leather gear, add a few fake tattoos ...

random thoughts that got him TS’ed. I’ve only met one DUer, flaxbee. We adopted a cat from her. I did see another DUer in 2004, Goddess of Guinness, but I didn’t know who was a looking for. We should have shared pics, but it was in the dark era of the bush wars and corruption.

I was actually called for jury duty last year during a lull in the Covid cases - the lull didn't last long, this being Florida.

I still had to report and sit in a room full of people, travel through hallways full of people, take elevators full of people, etc. Even though I was not in the first batch called in for voir dire, I still had to sit around for hours while they made sure that first group was sufficient to fill the jury.

Of course, this was all before there were any vaccinations available, so it was a big exposure to have to do that.

If I were called again, I would get the booster - as I said, this is Florida - since so many do not have any vaccinations and so many refuse to wear masks or even if they do, can't seem to wear them correctly.

Frankly, the next time I am called I will find an out. I know it is my responsibility to serve on a jury, but they do not make it easy and I am close to the age where I can get out of it permanently. I have been on two juries, called five times for a jury pool, and I am done with it.

Not sent by certified mail. They can’t prove you got it. I’ve been in C FL for a long time and just got my first call @ 6 months ago.
Didn’t go , haven’t heard anything. Probably go back in the pool of residents and maybe be drawn again. No way I’m going in during Covid!
