Along with Life of Riley...Amos and Andy...Lone Ranger...Sky King...Cisco Kid. I don't like the Lucy-Desi offerings in this biopic of those two. Not even close in this trailer. I'll have to wait to see if they warmed to the characters.

it is a reminder to me of the little black and white we had in the 50s. Entertainment wise I see such progress.

(99,817 posts)5. Nicole Kidman took on an iconic role and in the preview I never forget it is Kidman...
She is getting some very good reviews so perhaps she becomes more "Lucy" the longer you watch.
Lucy had a real characteristic walk too--especially when she wore those (ugly to me) backless "mules" style shoes of the 50s. What little I saw in the previews didn't seem as though Kidman had captured that.
Still, I have to say that Nicole Kidman was very good as Elizabeth Montgomery ("Samantha" ) in the Bewitched movie a few years ago so maybe she will carry it off.
Desi's casting doesn't seem bad, but Ethel and Fred? Not too impressed from what little I've seen.
