I really wanted to see who was driving.

And, I want to see how they got themselves out of that tight spot too, when they left. Imagine if those cars in front and behind left and other cars parked closer.

Good thing they get good gas mileage, I think they used half a tank just parking.

is what makes it so impossible to have any amount of sympathy for the driver...

I once rented a full-sized car, which I wasn't used to driving. I'm parallel parking it extra carefully with the radio on, and of course the radio plays the VERY LAST song in the ENTIRE universe that I needed to hear!

Though I shouldn't say much, since parallel parking's never been one of my strong suits...

No need to even try the parallel park procedure in that situation.

did they have to use the word 'retarded'?

Having said that I could have parked my car in there and it's a 4 door sedan

I dated this guy who was the biggest douchebag and anytime I drove (which with him was most of the time since his car was a beater) and we went someplace where you had to parallel park, he was just such an asshole.

I have no problems with parking but when you have a douchebag screaming turn turn turn cut turn turn - well my parking probably would rival whomever was driving that Smart Car in the video.

At one point I would make him get out of the car anytime I had to parallel park - when I did that I could park like a charm.

It boggles the mind that someone couldn't park a golf cart in the same size space.

Although i doubt that this would excuse this person. After all, we are talking about a Smart Car in a huge space!

I had to make a right turn and then pull in along the curb.

I taught myself how to parallel park.

who is struggling. I didn't listen to this last night, when I did I was appalled. Be kind.

My apologies, I know you didn't film this, but I have little tolerance for mean spirited people right now. Kindness helps more but doesn't come up with "funny" videos.

to live in the city, because that means she would have to parallel park.

I drove a 15 passenger van this summer for a part time job, had no problem(s) parallel or vertical parking (in a cramped garage).
My father taught me that when you parallel park, drive your vehicle so that the trunk area is about at the rear driver's side of the vehicle in front, and then reverse into the parking space. It never fails.

I failed my parallel parking test in Florida. But the tester passed me anyway. He said he was going to blame it on the car. I was driving my mother's 1959 Cadillac with the big fins, and they blocked my backward view. But I try to avoid parallel parking whenever possible.

CA doesn't (I took the test there). WA didn't even require me to take the test.
