The cats coat pattern started getting white when he was 7-years-old. Most likely, this is due to vitiligo, a genetic mutation that is extremely rare in cats.

(7,716 posts)And apparently the article about thr cat said he was black anbd then started getting white patches. That's how vitiligo works. Humans can also get vitiligo, BTW.

(9,112 posts)I tread carefully in Facebook since there's so-called "facts" are interestingly inaccurate and wrong. I think that it actually increases the amount of gray hair that's coming in on my scalp. LOL!
