At least I've never had to witness such snowdrifts

Autumn is cold, blustery, rainy and the leaves fall off the trees.

I've never understood "Fall is my favorite season" people...it's like being a fan of the power company. I never think about the power company except when the power company is making me miserable.

But my new power company did an excellent job for me a few days ago, replaced transformer about 3 hours after I called to let them know my power was out!

I remind myself daily of the one saving grace of Pepco, the nation's most ineptly and dangerously-run electricity supplier.

They don't own any nuclear reactors.

and so does my friend in Silver Spring (where I stay quite often.) We cross our fingers whenever weather approaches, and then think of to where we should go! I'm in SOUTHERN Maryland at the moment, have SMECO, which is building a solar project. Calvert Cliffs is up the road, but I don't know to whom they distribute.

Pepco's users, DC suburban activists and complainers, complained loudly couple years ago, so they've actually BEEN doing line maintenance, and trimming trees, and all that stuff!!!

Some of the lopping jobs they have done in MoCo are downright excessive. I suspect this is their passive-aggressive way of getting back at us folks for daring to complain about them.
