Has anyone ordered fom Cafe Press before?
There are two cute German Shepherd mugs I would like to order but I have never done business with them before and am kind of looking for reassurance that they are trustworthy? Well as much as any company is these days.

3. Cafe Press has been around a long time - I even set up a small joke store there years ago.

5. No, it was just a joke to show some friends. One of them bought one of my joke
items which I didn't add any markup to.

6. Ah,
I've heard that they take quite a chuck of the money, so you have to sell a LOT to make it worth the effort.

7. Yeah the items are already priced pretty high not much room to make a profit by adding a markup. n/t

8. I've dealt with them several times.
I prefer CafePress to Zazzle, but I've bought from both. I thought their products were a better quality, especially when purchasing t-shirts.

10. I've learned that some people
don't choose silk-screening for their shirt designs, whether it's CafePress or Zazzle. Get screen printing if it's available, or something called "sublimation." Otherwise, they'll use an iron-on method, and that eventually comes off or cracks to little pieces.
Now, there is one place that I think is even better than either CP or Zazzle, and I love the design quality of many products there: Red Bubble ![]() All of the shirts I've gotten from Red Bubble have been of the highest quality, both in fabric and imprinting. |

14. That is good to know as well.
I've tried the iron on method as a home craft method and you're right it doesn't hold up well. I will check out the company you mentioned. I need some new T shirts as well.

16. I knew iron-on didn't hold up
yet I never thought I'd get the same kind of print on a bought t-shirt.
From now on, I'll be sure to look carefully, and if it doesn't say, to ask the seller. And if they either don't know or don't answer, I won't buy it. T-shirts can be expensive, and I'm not wasting my money on a design that isn't going to last more than a year. |
