Has anybody else seen "The Way" with Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez?

It's about a man who walks the Camino de Santiago in honor of his son, who died in an accident when he started the walk himself. I wanna walk the Camino. Has anybody done that?

A friend of mine went on the 'walk' a few months ago, but broke his ankle part way through. He's home recovering now.

We watched the video together and they both said it was pretty accurate.

You really don't need a lot of elaborate gear like you would if you were hiking in the Pyrenees (in fact, the lighter the better), and there are lots of towns and even a few sizeable cities along the way. A lot of it is even paved. It's not exactly a wilderness experience.

That's what I found when someone mentioned They Way to me and I went looking for it on in the internet. Eventually I did find The Way, but I'm really glad I found The Way Back and watched it by accident.

Based on a true story...
