Weekend music to chill by....Kinky Edition!

Ray Davies of the Kinks - Waterloo Station with choir:

Ray also sang this at the 2012 London Olympics.

IMNSHMO, Ray and Dave Davies are very underappreciated songwriters.

Preservation Act Two is quite underrated with many gems on it.

Blondie opened for them and they were really bad. Debbie Harry jumping around in stretch pants looking silly.

man that's disappointing. I love Blondie. I saw the Kinks in the early 80s (State of Confusion tour) and got Quarterflash for the openers (I think. It might have been Scandal.)

Some girl in the ladies' room said "Man that opening band is bad." I had to agree.

Didn't hear any of their electronic hits then, like Heart of Glass.

Debbie Harry was in a movie called "Spun" about meth freaks.

Wish I'd seen Justin Hayward when he came to House of Blues back in May.

Heard he was really good.

with The London Symphony Orchestra, in London of course

... I would love to hear the whole album: Days of Future Past done live.

Oh well, a girl can dream can't she, sigh.

... but I still prefer the original. It captures that raw alienation better.
