Back in 91, maybe 92, I walked into my office singing that song.

The younger girl in the office, (I was quite young at the time too, but she was much younger) was giving me the "you're such a goofball face".

After I finish singing, she tells me "you made that up, didn't you?"

Even with confirmation from everyone else in the office, she didn't believe it. She really thought this was one of my made up songs. lol

why thanks......

(i was kinda joking. i just looked on wiki & in august of 1972, when the song was released, i was smoking cigarettes, getting high, and getting laid! granted, i was still pretty young, but not naive. and i had a twisted sense of humor even then, telling people the song was about drugs! damn, i was so funny!

I remember he had a variety show too. Also, he wrote In The Ghetto.

That's all I can recall at the moment
