(22,298 posts)if Arya is dead, then why keep her character around?
Baitball Blogger

2) Or she goes to the well to take a drink.
WolverineDG
(22,298 posts)from the players & the "blood" was stage blood. There's no way Arya would parade herself around Braavos like that if she wasn't trolling for The Waif.
Solly Mack
(90,740 posts)Is she?
The waif is chasing Arya next week, right?
Baitball Blogger
(46,576 posts)But, it was the waif's face. If the waif isn't dead then her face isn't part of the face pool, is it? So, it could only be the waif who stabbed her. But why would a professional assassin miss vital organs?
Solly Mack
(90,740 posts)I think we find out soon though.

(19,549 posts)What if Lady Stoneheart is a a different Stark this time around?
WolverineDG
(22,298 posts)Baitball Blogger
(46,576 posts)I don't think it would work. A mother who has suffered loss is a different dynamic than a cold-blooded child assassin. What makes Arya interesting is that she is following her own set of rules, and in that system of hers there is compassion.
herding cats
(19,549 posts)I agree that Arya is very different than Lady Stoneheart, and couldn't literally become that character.
But, that doesn't mean she couldn't end up with the Brotherhood Without Banners again, perhaps even under similar circumstances to how Catelyn did considering her current wounds. Which makes the theory somewhat interesting. Then there's the fact that Gendry is with the BWB still, I think. I suspect he has a roll to play out still with House Baratheon, and it would position Arya to possibly be there to assist in that adventure.
One thing about GoT is that even if a character does die, it doesn't take them out of the game. Which opens more realms of possibility than even those inclined to speculate can cover.
Solly Mack
(90,740 posts)herding cats
(19,549 posts)Who knows what will happen?
Personally, one resurrected Stark is enough for me this time around. We've come too far to bring in Lady Stoneheart in all her horrifying glory. Even if the return of the Brotherhood Without Banners seems to be on the horizon, I can't imagine how they'd add her in with their return at this point.
I'm more interested in Gendry and what they have in mind for him.

(7,241 posts)I can't believe they didn't nail what's-his-name for not being certain that The Hound killed the butcher's boy! That was the sole reason he was on Arya's list, sort of a pretty major story element.
I love watching a show that has a segment called "Who The Fuck Was That?"
NewJeffCT
(56,827 posts)I've never 100% blamed The Hound for that - he was a loyal soldier who was just doing the wishes of Joffrey. if he doesn't run down & kill the butcher's boy, he pisses Joff off and Cersei has the Hound executed.
