He's not good with any loud noises, the recycling truck, motorcycles, my vacuum cleaner, geez even if I get a knock on the door or someone rings the door buzzard , he gets very startled.

He has a comfy, cozy spot in the basement he will retreat to until it's over.

...and half ex-Military. So it'll be going boom boom boom here in a bit.
I told a technician at my doctor's that I was from NY and that I think firecrackers are stupid. She looked at me as though I was nuts.
We bonded, though, when I told her I used to set off caps (for toy guns) with my shoe.

I think I used to use a penny to set off the caps. I burned my fingers more than once.
