Jane Austen continues to maintain a presence on TCM, I see, as often as not through Ang Lee's Sense and Sensibility, but at noon this Sunday there's another watchable film, Persuasion, from the very same year. Don't let the language and the glimpses of privilege fool you; this is Jane Austen with unpaid bills, mud-stained hems, and windburned sailors.
