Going to Maine this weekend

I get to go back to Maine this weekend for my birthday. We lived in that beautiful state for 9 years before moving back to CT. While I was there I really developed a love for lighthouses. I should get a few new shots this weekend but for now here's a few from my portfolio

I love light houses too. We visit them when in eastern NC. Thanks for sharing and have a great time in Maine.

I flew my plane to Caribou and my plan en-route was to fly up the coast and take some aerial shots of some of the lighthouses along the coast, but it was overcast the day we made the trip.

There are so many neat lighthouses scattered around Casco Bay, and you can see most of them from Portland Head. You've got Potland Head Light, Ram Island Ledge, and Portland Breakwater visible with the naked eye. Just a short distance away, there is Two Lights at Cape Elizabeth and waaaaay out in the water there's Halfway Rock Light.

I love it up there.

I love how you can see so many from that vantage point. Here's one of Ram Island I took from there.

Once I make the jump to full frame SLR, Maine is probably going to be one of the first places I go. Probably hit Booth Bay, now that they've rebuilt the Cuckolds' keeper's house.

I made this panorama of Marshall Point Light (of Forrest Gump fame) with Photoshop CC's panorama tool. Works very well! I have tons more Maine images to bore you with when I get them processed
