Prisoner-painted skateboards to be auctioned off for underprivileged youth
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) Some incredible skateboard art done by prisoners is on display in Fresno Calif.'s Tower District and will be sold at auction to buy skateboards for children who can't afford them.
Rodney Rodriguez with Fresno Skateboard Salvage says it's part of a project with the goal of giving inmates something constructive and therapeutic.
Rodriguez also says the skateboards also help youngsters avoid certain traps.
"To encourage something different, because all too often kids fall into traps," said Rodriguez.
