(82,333 posts)I'm enjoying this one because it's an all-out intramural war in the republican primary. The Pike County Democrats are running no one for DA (again).

(495 posts)school this morning I couldn't count how many cars had door magnets for her. It's really unbelievable. Why isn't a democrat running, any ideas?

(82,333 posts)My wife is the County committeewoman (yes, that's the title) from Milford Boro. Again there was no candidate so I wrote her name in. She got on with one vote.
Although Pike is seen as a republican county. Democrats actually outnumber them by registration but turn out in far less numbers.
Meanwhile, I'm enjoying this race. It's tearing the county republicans in half.
Did you see the sign the Tonkin campaign put up? It's got the Obama logo with the words "Obama for District Attorney. Paid for by Friends of Ray Tonkin." You've got the incumbent republican running a tea party campaign against a republican challenger.
Are you from Wayne or Monroe?
I used to live in the borough but moved up the hill! I now live in Dingman Township, although it's still considered Milford.
I haven't seen the Tonkin sign you referenced, where is it?

(82,333 posts)All he needed was 100 write-ins, the number needed to get on the primary ballot, and have more write-ins than Gaughan.
I doubt he'll run on the Democratic line even though he's the incumbent. But I'll be damned if I ever vote for that Corbett-loving, Wolf-hating, death penalty-mongering piece of shit.

(495 posts)I was wrong. It's just that every time I vote in the primaries the place is empty. Yesterday it seemed so alive, but it wasn't the voters. The candidates family and friends made it look like the parking lot was full.
