in crime in Seattle.
Since cops nowadays seem to be the ones who determine what is and isn't a crime, especially based on the skin color of the one doing it, this may have a salutary effect on crime rates.

(58,440 posts)because I expect these are mostly of the "problem" variety who saw the writing on the wall that they were ones to be purged for behavioral problems. Now, having quit volutarily, they will find police jobs elsewhere with a "clean" record.
We need some national supervision here, including a national database of police disciplinary actions.

(13,516 posts)He's from Brooklyn and got his start as a "shock jock" while attending Occidental College where he had a show on the school radio station. His shtick is standard loony right-wing screeching, now broadcast on Seattle's RW Wurlitzer run by, of all people, the Mormon church!
As others have noted, those cops leaving are the very ones that should never have been hired in the first place. I pity the locations where they land and assume their self-anointed role as "occupying army."
