Washington saw more than 6% increase in homelessness year over year
Washington saw a more than 6% increase in the number of people experiencing homelessness between 2019 and 2020, a larger increase than most other states across the country, according to a new report.
The report, from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, showed Washington reported an additional 1,346 people experiencing homelessness between 2019 and 2020, making it the state with the third largest absolute increase in homelessness across the country.
