Source: Times of IsraelRiham Dawabsha, 26, is the third member of her family to succumb to wounds from July attack; only 5-year-old Ahmed survives
Riham Dawabsha has died at the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer in Ramat Gan, according to hospital officials.
Dawabsha was the mother of the Palestinian toddler Ali and the wife of Saad Dawabsha, both of whom succumbed to wounds inflicted in the firebombing of their home in the northern West Bank village of Duma by suspected Jewish extremists on July 31.
The Palestinian Authority announced on Sunday it was preparing to send a medical team to evaluate and monitor Rihams condition after her family members told Al-Jazeera on Sunday that she was clinically dead, and following a sharp deterioration in her condition confirmed by her Israeli medical team on Saturday.
Dawabsha, 26, sustained third-degree burns on 90 percent of her body and was left fighting for her life for the past five weeks after assailants security officials say evidence points to Jewish extremists hurled a firebomb through the window of the family home in the West Bank city of Duma early on July 31, killing 18-month-old Ali. Saad was also critically wounded and died days later. The familys second son, five-year-old Ahmed, is being treated at Tel Hashomer for massive burns.

(58,724 posts)GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Hamas led Palestinian factions in a call for action in the wake of the death overnight Sunday of Riham Dawabsha, the mother of an 18-month-old toddler who was burned alive in an arson attack carried out by Israeli settlers in July.
The movement urged its members to "retaliate" for her death, saying in a statement: "Hamas won't forgive the usurper occupation its crime against the Dawabsha family and the population of Duma."

(12,606 posts)IMHO, of course.
It's a trajedy that Israeli terrorists are on the lose with the possibility of causing more violence to innocent Palestinians.
Wouldn't you agree?

(58,724 posts)People should read and reflect on the OP. Also, people should read the article I posted, as it is the lead story on Ma'an. They are both related to the same horrible tragedy.
Let's hope that this death doesn't lead to more violence. On that I am sure we can both agree.

(12,606 posts)If you had felt strongly about the article you should have posted it then instead of, IMHO, try to hijack the OP.
Again, IMHO, I see you so this quite often to distract from an OP that you do not like.
And this is where I can prove my point. This OP.
"Palestinian woman wounded in Duma firebombing dies"
And what do you do?
You don't show any regret. You don't show shock or remorse.
You post a threat by Hamas.

Israels Shin Bet security service has arrested a rightwing Jewish extremist in the first arrest made since the arson attack in the West Bank village of Duma last Friday that killed a Palestinian infant and critically injured his parents and 4-year-old brother.
Meir Ettinger, 24, is Shin Bets most wanted Jewish terror suspect, though it remains unclear if and how he is connected to the attack in Duma.
He is suspected of leading the group responsible for an arson attack on the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fish in northern Israel in June. He has been barred since last year from entering the West Bank and his home town of Jerusalem.

Nine Israeli suspects arrested after Duma arson attack
Israeli security forces have arrested several Israelis suspected of plotting violence against Palestinians.
The country's Shin Bet security service and Israel police conducted operations on Sunday morning, arresting at least seven people at two unauthorised settlement outposts in Adei Ad in the north of the occupied West Bank, local media said.
"Following various incidents that occurred in the West Bank recently, Israeli forces have carried out various searches throughout the night and have arrested a few suspects," the police said in a statement, adding that the crackdown was part of "the investigation into the events that occurred in Duma".

It's hard to take anything a poster writers seriously when they just make things up. Especially on a subject as serious as this one. Absolutely disgusting.

(6,171 posts)the same way they treat the murder of Jews?
Do you remember those three hitch hikers who got murdered? There were mass arrests, nightly raids and a lot of boots on the ground. I can't see anything even remotely similar in this case. If the victims of this terrorist attack would have been Jews, the investigation wouldn't have been made at this leisurely pace. The only conclusion I can draw is that Palestinian lives don't matter, and that Israeli authorities don't want the murderers caught.
If you can show me that the Israeli authorities are treating this the same way they do when Jews are murdered, then it's all good. Right now, all I see is that Palestinian lives don't matter, and that pisses me off.

(4,132 posts)The following article will reveal the polices case file on the burning of the Riyada family an investigation that lasts two weeks and ends with no results. It is hard to imagine the same thing happening had the family been Jewish. We did not find evidence beyond any reasonable doubt that proves the identity of the criminal, the investigation will continue, said the Jerusalem district attorney. But the investigation did not continue.

(3,967 posts)Just to protect the murderers? Seems more plausible to me that, beyond justice, the Israeli government would view catching the perpetrators as very worthwhile for its position.
