Yet due to liver and kidney disease and a medicine I take......I can't drink beer!!!

It's like that episode of the Twilight Zone where Burgess Meredith gets all the books but breaks his glasses.

Probably better for you skin not to scratch, but what are you to do when it itches so badly!! Have any sort of moisturizers helped?

Itchy skin isn't a part of Sjogren's, generally speaking. If your renal function is OK, lotions can help the dry skin that is a part of Sjogren's.

In any case, use a hairbrush, it's kinder to your skin than fingernails are. Plus, it will help you reach the unreachable spots on an itchy back.

not a real problem, just an annoyance. But hardly up there with being home all day and not able to drink beer!

I saw something cute the other day - people with Sjogren's can't cry, so we have to laugh!

I have a Pedicure multi-tool that has a brush and a pumice stone on one end and a fine sandpaper and a rough metal callous sander on the other end. I have a small patch of rough skin just above my elbow that itches that won't go away, this won't really fix it, but it keeps me from ripping at it with my nails.

about a month or so ago you were the first and only person that I had heard of having this. I went to get my eyes checked and the woman that worked there had it as well. Hers was bad too, plus she also had RA. I felt really bad for her too. It must be really horrible!
