Another cold and rainy day calling out for comfort food!

My son is visiting again this weekend so he'll make a guacamole for us. He considers that he's a master at this dish... just ask him!

I'll make small incisions in the pork tenderloin and stuff them with thin slices of garlic. Then I'll marinate the meat in a Mesquite barbecue sauce before cooking it in the oven at 350º until the core is upwards of 145º.

I got some amazingly fresh green beans in the country so those will be steamed and served along with mashed potatoes.

The Landlady(!) baked some brownies the other day so we'll finish those for dessert.

To all the mothers reading this, I wish you the very best Mothers' Day! I miss my mom but I think of her fondly every day.

mashed potatoes and gravy, and petite peas. I had wanted linguini Alfredo with crab and shrimp, but since we have both sons home for a couple days, thought I'd best go with something everyone would enjoy. My older son cooked the pot roast while I took my younger, newly graduated with a BS in microbiology, son out to look at cars whlle the dealerships are closed (no annoying sales people that way).

My twin sister and I cooked for my mom and dad today.

NY strip steaks on the grill, sweet potatoes & Vidalia onions in a foil pouch also cooked on the grill, grilled asparagus, steamed broccoli & cauliflower.

Boston crème pie for dessert.

(I didn't want dessert--I just wanted to keep eating the sweet potatoes.)
