2. i had something similiar called Cornybread...just plain cornbread recipe..

...add a can of creamed corn and shredded cheese ( I always used pepper jack)...now Im thinking how good it would be with the masa!!

I'm going to try to make butter in my food processor.. The liquid is buttermilk and I just hate putting down the drain. I had no use for it...... NOW I DO!!
Question, do you just use a regular cornbread recipe and add the cornmeal an masa instead of flour?
Never made cornbread before..

I can remember real butter milk like you have; thin with little specks of butter in it. The kind you buy at the store is thick. That said, for me it is a must have item in my fridge.

I use it for cornbread, cakes, biscuits and pancakes, gives a nice soft crumb to your baked good.


I always use buttermilk in my cornbread and also in cakes.
