What's for Dinner, Fri., July 17, 2020

Note: posting early due to working later.

Chef salad with the usual Swiss cheese, ham, roast beef slices, hard-boiled egg. I'm using a mixture of romaine and red leaf lettuce.

Roasted pepper soup, cold.

Cold tea and cherries for dessert. Watermelon, too.

Tip of the hat to MissMillie, who grew her own Red Sails lettuce salad! Radishes, too!

Cher sent me the seeds for the lettuce, and I confess I didn't get a lot of it, but yeah, I got some and it's wonderful. The salad is so lovely... the Red Sails lettuce, plus some Romaine. Also carrots, radishes, yellow bell pepper, tomato, cucumber and onions. Salad dressing from the store--I'm a sucker for Ken's Steak House Red Wine Vinegar & Olive Oil salad dressing.

We're stuffing the potatoes w/ bacon and cheese. It'll be like a twiced-baked sort of deal.

Al's baking sugar cookies for dessert.

I had some leftover basmati rice, so made fried rice with ham, onions, eggs, peas, soy, and sesame oil.

2 with a grey poupon Italian spices, olive oil marinade for chicken over greens tomorrow.
1 breast with a Madras Curry Dry Rub mix for tonight with grilled broccoli.

The Madras Rub was a mix of coriander, tumeric, fennel, fenugeek, black pepper, granulated garlic cinnamon, cloves and cayenne. I bought mix that from a company called Spicewalla.

Decafe cold tea.

FLFC had part of a burger with a touch of shredded Tex-mex cheese mix warmed in the microwave. He ate most of it and then left the rest on the floor after carrying it around the house. He is now singing the blues on the couch because TJ just headed off to work. He is certain that complaining works as she always comes home. Sooner or later.
