And when I see her walking her dog, I get so damn jealous I can't ever walk my Angel dog Princess Peanut again, I can barely breathe for a minute.
I do not begrudge her her dog, but I freakin miss mine.

(10,050 posts)just everywhere. It was so hard back then, but after many years it's better now. Now when I see a dog that looks like her, I don't tear up like I used to, it actually makes me smile as I remember her. Hang in there.

(4,033 posts)it becomes bearable over time. We lost our Sancho 5 years ago, and not a day goes by that I don't think of him and get a lump in my throat, but I can also think of him and think what a wonderful dog he was and smile.
And it helps that we have other dogs to keep an eye on us and to come give us cuddles.

(32,829 posts)The kids cross the street took her for a near daily walk for near a year...she got so excited when she heard/saw them. She would run to me and bark bark bark at me to get her to her kids. A happy memory.
My arthritis does prevent me from walking, and I so miss it.
