I was bent over and my brat cat decided to jump on me and dig his claws

in any time I tried to straigtened up. Does anyone elses cat do this? Mine does it whenever given the chance. He knows he is being bad because I yell.

1. I have had more than a few jump on my back while bending over, cleaning or whatever and yes...

they will dig in if you move. Natural instinct. Little assholes!

3. They get goofy, just like we do! I have one large girl who likes to sit on my

chest and stomach while I'm at the computer and she makes biscuits on my flesh and drools copiously. I can't get made at her but sometimes those claws!!

6. I have a smaller cat whose claws i leave extra long so she can take on

the big guy. She's figured out she can get me to pat her if she sticks her claws into my arm if I am in bed. She doesn't rub her head against me for affection to get petted. She claws one of my arms. It looks like a pin cushion.

5. that is a kill pattern.....

Cats will jump on the back of prey and attempt to either take them down or break their neck/back. Brutal, but effective.

You best watch out for lego blocks on the stairs with tripwires or neck snags.......

Bwah hah ha!!!!!!

8. I can tell from the 'grave concern' every time I take a bath that the cats are not trying to

kill me.

4. Well,... maybe he wants his litter box freshened up.

Or has a yearning for one of thems jerky treat cat yummies.

His mission is to torment you until you deliver his every want and desire.

7. After getting me to scream in pain he is now safely sitting on my legs

where he will stay all night. He's so all about me i wonder sometimes if he is more dog than cat. He even fetches.

11. magicarpet is a slave

Now you know what it is like being a slave to a cat.

You have no recourse and continue on with this rather questionable relationship ... at times that is, at times.

12. Cats own us,... the entire human race.....

.... and the little buggers realize this while taking full advantage of us.

But we lub them all the same.

13. Don't yell. Hiss.

I keep a couple of cans of air spray around the house. You don't need to spray them. The noise will freak them out.

If you straighten up, they will cling to you to prevent falling. He doesn't mean to hurt you.

24. I don't mean an air horn. I am talking about those little spray cans that shoot plain air.

It makes a sharp hissing sound.

Cats understand the meaning of a hiss instinctually. No training is necessary.

It means back off, warning, danger.

Short of that, you can hiss vocally.

Try it out.

25. Oh okay. I wondered. When my cats are being bad, which is not often, i just flic some water at them.

That teaches them to stop what they are doing.

19. I have a little cat who follows me around and jumps up near me and claws my arm until I pet him.

Of course the moment I stop he claws again. If there is nothing for him to jump up on next to me he uses me as a damn scratching post until I bend over to pet him ( again.) He follows me, prickles me, sits on me, lays on me, lays next to me, sits next to me, and walks all over me. However, I dare not pick him up. EVERYTHING is on HIS terms ONLY. They are such brats.

20. I don't pick them up often as they are usually laying on me, one or the other.

Little one likes it on her terms. But sometimes i can resist and I pick her up. Big one is game for anything including games of hide and seek. But boy does he behave when i have a guest. None of his bossiness.

21. It is amazing how angelic they are when people are around. Makes us look bad for complaining.

OK.....unless you have a person over who hates or is allergic to cats. Then they are all over that person. Well, OK, my Tsuki girl does that.

22. My grandmother ran a farm and was terrifyed of cats. She knew barn cats only.

Of course that made our cats go to her when we were growing up.
