Don't serve your pet this brand of dog food. It might contain Salmonella

https://www.nj.com/news/2022/06/dont-serve-your-pet-this-brand-of-dog-food-it-might-contain-salmonella.html

Pet food brand Freshpet is recalling one lot of its dog food products because it might be contaminated with Salmonella.

The product recall is for Freshpet Select Fresh From the Kitchen Home Cooked Chicken Recipe (4.5 lb. bag) with a sell by date of October 29, 2022, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

According to Freshpet, the affected lot has a UPC code of 627975011673 and can be found with the sell-by date on the back and bottom of the product.

Although you usually hear of people contracting Salmonella, dogs and other animals can contract the bacteria, as well.
