Martin/Zimmerman: Just so it doesn't just disappear, now that its less sensational.

abcnews.go.com/US/cops-witnesses-back-george-zimmermans-version/story?id=16371852#.T7aGIb9dg7A

Cops, Witnesses Back Up George Zimmerman's Version of Trayvon Martin Shooting

Yet another witness described the confrontation in emotional terms.

The witness heard "someone yelling, almost crying. Then I heard a gunshot." The witness wrote that he or she "saw a man on top of a guy laying on the ground. He was putting his hands on his neck or chest."

The man asked the witness to call 911.

"He stood up and took a couple steps away and put his hands on his head and then walked back over to the guy on the ground. He looked at him for a minute, then started to walk away toward the road. That is when the police walked up," the witness wrote.

After all, they know he's guilty, they can feel it. Who needs facts?

I sincerely hope that cool heads will prevail, and we won't see rioting, much worse then the Rodney King LA riots.
We cannot undo what has been done, and that is tragic, i just hope no else is hurt or killed, due to this trial, and it's outcome.

Reading the reports, witness statements and such. The initial investigators where correct, the crime he should have been charged with is MANSLAUGHTER. What Zimmerman did, is a perfect fit for that crime, NOT Murder...

In short, I will tell you what I believe happened that night.... Two IDIOTS met in the dark. Zimmerman, was out "acting like a cop, and tried to stop a criminal, in his eyes" and Martin, decided to "Woop his ass".... And idiots being idiots escalation ensued, until Zimmerman who was getting his ass soundly kicked made a very bad decision, and shot his attacker.

Zimmerman cannot claim self defense, because his hands are NOT clean, he perused and verbally accosted Martin, than Martin attacked Zimmerman. But it is not Murder, by a long shot. And because of double jeopardy, Once he beats the Murder rap, it will be OVER....

I don't think Zimmerman set out to shoot anyone, but panicked when he was getting his ass kicked. But still he was part of the problem, so he will not get protection under Stand Your Ground....After all your not standing it, when your perusing and yelling at someone.

Zimmerman was an idiot, for being a hyper aggressive "neighborhood watch Capt" out confronting people instead of being a good witness and calling the cops. And Martin, was an idiot for deciding to start throwing punches at some dumbass loud mouth in a dark street.

My very REAL concern now is, that so much inflammatory and flat out WRONG things has been reported in the press that we are seeing completely Innocent people attacked and severely beaten in the name of Trayvon Martin. What about those people, whos only crime will be simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time?? It is already happening now, even here in Virginia, a few weeks ago, a large group of people attacked some reporters from the Virginia Pilot Newspaper, and "Do it for Trayvon" seemed to be the battle cry... How about when Zimmerman is ACQUITTED of the crime he is charged with?

I think MSM should be held accountable when Innocent people are killed because of their slanted reporting of this whole issue.

How many people will die, or be beaten because of their misleading reporting?

even if he did attack Zimmerman, which is not proven at this point. If I were in his shoes, I would probably reasonably fear for my safety as well.

That does not prove Trayvon Martin attacked Zimmerman. Zimmerman may have attacked him first, and marks on his hands would be defensive in nature. Nor were his hands injured to the extent that you just claimed, since you used the plural for knuckle. There was ONE abrasion on ONE knuckle, which also could have occurred as he hit the ground after being shot. Even if ALL of his knuckles were bruised and bloody, that does not prove he attacked Zimmerman.

Zimmerman's 'nose injury' could have been staged the day after.

Keep in mind, the officer on scene that investigated (Serino) belived Zimmerman to have likely committed manslaughter, and recommended charges be filed.

Evidence will continue to be introduced and scrutinized far from the TV cameras. There's nothing I've heard in the media so far that convinces me one way or the other.

This is the first I have heard of photos from the police car. I did see the photo he took in his bathroom mirror, later on.

Can you source that photo from the car? I have not seen it.

You may now retract the completely baseless accusation of his injuries having been staged later. You are so eager for him to be guilty that you are willing to make up stuff out of thin air to get a guilty verdict. Why bothere with a trial? Go directly to the lynching.

For one, I have NOT convicted him of anything. I suspect he will walk, in fact, based on the level of evidence required for the charges that have been brought.

Second, these two grainy shitty-assed photocopied photos in the report you just linked don't show me a damn thing. ONE appears to have a gash on his nose, the other does not at all. Not very conclusive. Nor does it tell us how he received such an injury. A fist? Concrete floor? Bashed his face on something in the back of the police car? Fired his gun too close to his face and the slide bit him? Inconclusive, if there is a wound at all. (Second photo reveals nothing like the gash the first photo suggests.)

Third, I didn't make that allegation up at all. It has been made repeatedly here on DU, and been the subject of several threads. IF his nose is really injured and the would WAS caused by Martin's fist, or the ground because Martin smashed his head into the ground, then you have a point and ALL of those threads are bunk.

Personally, I will wait for the jury's verdict.
