Missing Ohio Women Found But Bigger Message About Race?

Charles Ramsey helped save three missing women from a home in Cleveland, Ohio. But he said something interesting about why he answered their call for help. Host Michel Martin explores what Ramsey's comments may say about race in America.

Kosich: What were the reactions on the girls’ faces? I can’t imagine to see the sunlight…

Ramsey: Bro, I knew something was wrong when a little, pretty white girl ran into a black man’s arms. Something is wrong here. Dead giveaway. Dead giveaway.

NPR mentions Cleveland is one of the most segregated cities.
And than they talk about him being a social media star and compare him to Ted Williams(the ‘Golden-Voiced’ Homeless Man). They also talk about the fine line of celebrating him or making fun of him.

First of all, what he's saying is the truth.

Secondly, he is a hero. Alot of people run the other direction when they hear screaming. He ran and helped those poor women without having any idea what he was getting himself into.

Charles Ramsey is The Man. I thought the comments he made were hilarious, well-spoken and honest. I bet you the women freed from that house of evil won't be "making fun of him."

The guy was trying to make light of what was an obviously tense situation.

He's a cut up, a Cleveland Character. The place is full of them.

A lot of small, white women would be scared to run up and hug a stranger, especially a large black man. To him that was a dead giveaway that something terrible had happened. It was time to call to cops, stat!
