I tend to think black holes create new universes and our universe is the result of a black hole in some other universe creating a white hole in ours.

we can't see back that far and probably never could. That's the sad reality of things, we can see nearly all the way there but not quite.

...means you're looking further back in time, rather than the present, because of how long it takes the light from an event to reach us.
