(10,650 posts)You always know when something has hit her hard when she uses it. And she uses it a lot.
She wasn't happy

Now, she has to wake Bill up, slowly explain it to him, and ask his advice. Except Bill is looking quite the sickly spouse these days. I mean, he looks terrible. He sounds worse, and there are rumors that crowds are beginning to whisper about him while he is still on stage.

(5,400 posts)DWS had reasons for wanting to limit exposure of her candidate, to "protect" her.
OK, so now it's down to rallies, interviews, and meet and greets, for a while. Advantage Sanders, though Secretary Clinton has much of the party establishment to help her out.
But the public is really sizing up its purchase now, and what may look good on paper isn't necessarily what looks good up close. They both did well enough in the debate, but pretty much only Sanders will look reliable enough to voters who care deeply about the issues of trustworthiness, and honesty. Clinton's numbers on those have been scraping bottom, and being called out for her slanders of Sanders will only worsen that.
The question of possible indictments resulting from the FBI reports, questions about The Clinton Foundation, the transcripts of her speeches to Goldman Sachs, all of those, and more, could fuel a dive in Clinton's negative numbers to depths hitherto generally unplumbed by any politician at, or seeking, the position of President of the United States.
We shouldn't risk such a candidate.
